Our lads secured their second win of the season against Unity FC this weekend and did so in style. After the game, we chatted with Felipe Morales Moya, one the BCPL’s Team of the Week forwards. Moya felt that the team did everything right on Saturday. “We were very solid. At the back, Michy [Michael Heppell] was amazing - great saves and dealership. Everywhere - the midfield, the attack - we were on point.” Moya scored two of the team’s three goals on Saturday.

On the women's side, Unity FC left with the points. Women’s BCPL Team of the Week midfielder Erin Jensen told us that:
In our pregame chat, we talked a lot about defending. If we got scored on, [the wingers] would really tuck in and be defensive before going forward. I thought we did a good job of getting back with Unity’s fullbacks because they played quite high. We adapted right after their first early goal and got behind the ball quickly to help our fullbacks as best we could.
“I think they put up a really strong counter attack,” noted fellow winger Jade Dillabough. “It was really important to track back today.” Jensen said the ladies excelled at winning 50-50 balls and getting in the attacking third, “but we just couldn’t finish unfortunately.”
